Central certification body SCRUM Body was formed as a collaboration of exam institutes and small certification bodies. This attempt is an effort towards centralizing SCRUM efforts. This will help the SCRUM community to follow one common practice across the globes.
This was formally announced in the SCRUM world conference 2013 been held on 22nd July 2013 at United states. It was the view and joint decision of the examination institutes and small certification bodies that there needs to be a common, collaborative effort to centralize all the efforts made towards SCRUM and Agile.
From 1st Oct 2013, the central certification body for SCRUM and Agile certification will be fully functional and all candidates who have been certified by the alliance examination institutes and small certification bodies will now be a part of SCRUM body. All certifications will now be issued by SCRUM Body. The examination institutes, training organization will still remain intact under the examination bodies. Few organizations and groups can still wish to continue their operations independently.
Candidates, who have cleared the examination and have achieved credentials from our alliance bodies, will be awarded credentials from SCRUM Body with no extra cost. The certification renewal and re-registration will now be taken care by SCRUM Body. If you need more details, please feel free to contact us at support@scrumbody.org
Results of the candidates who have achieved credentials before 1st October 2014, will be displayed on the respective examination institutes website as well as in the Central Credential Registry which can be found on our website.
Our future plan is to collaborate with all the certification bodies in the field of SCRUM and Agile and have a common platform to display results, issue credentials, centralizing marking methods and schemes, etc. We believe this will take time but we hope to collaborate soon.
The certifications been issued by other examination institutes, certification bodies will still hold true and remain intact. |
